AMR GRAND LOOP TOUR
Friday September 20th - Sunday 22nd
Building on the success of the June Gunnison/Crested Butte Tour, we are venturing forth once more and bridging the East/West AMR divide.
Departing from Porsche Colorado Springs on Friday morning, the tour will wind its way past the Florissant Fossil Beds, Coaldale, Poncha Springs, and Saguache before stopping in Del Norte for lunch at Three Barrel Brewing. After lunch we will make our way over Wolf Creek Pass, through Pagosa Springs, stopping at the Durango Fairfield Inn & Suites for the evening. Friday night will bring a happy hour sponsored by Big Mission Automotive and a buffet dinner catered by Farm to Fingers. Members in SWCO may choose to meet up with the tour in Del Norte, or Durango.
Saturday morning we will depart from the Fairfield Inn and make our way to Telluride. Once parked in our VIP parking on Colorado Avenue, we will have a 2-hour exploration adventure… grab lunch by yourself or with others, explore downtown Telluride and take a ride on the free Gondola. Following our travel break, we will proceed on Hwy 145 through Norwood to Highway 141 through Gateway, ultimately landing in Grand Junction for the evening at the Doubletree Resort. Saturday evening delivers an open bar happy hour sponsored by Big Mission Automotive, followed by a buffet dinner.
Sunday morning, the tour will depart the Doubletree Resort, headed East on I-70. At Glenwood Springs we break South, through Carbondale, Basalt, Snowmass, Woody Creek and Aspen, over Independence Pass, through Twin Lakes, into Buena Vista – where milkshakes at K’s are calling our names - then back on 24W and terminating at Porsche Colorado Springs.
Three Barrels brewing will be direct pay.
Fairfield Inn & Suites block rates are $199 + tax for single Kings or double Queens. You must reserve directly with the Fairfield by calling 970-259-1300 and requesting a room for “Alpine Mountain Region”. This room block will remain open until September 9 and is limited to 25 rooms.
Friday dinner is included in the tour cost.
Hotel parking is included as well as breakfast Saturday morning.
Saturday lunch is on your own.
Doubletree block rates are $279 + tax for single Kings or double Queens. You must reserve directly with the Doubletree by calling 970-241-8888 and referencing “Alpine Mountain Region”. This room block will remain open until September 9 and is limited to 25 rooms.
Saturday dinner is included in the tour cost.
Hotel parking is included.
Registration will cover Friday dinner, Saturday dinner and a commemorative swag bag. You will be responsible for Friday lunch, Friday hotel, Saturday lunch and Saturday hotel.
