Wilmington & Western Railroad for the Holiday Lights Express!

Take a ride on the Wilmington & Western Railroad Holiday Express through the Red Clay Valley. See the wonderful decorations at the railroad station and the lights along the route. All who attended last year had a great time.

We will have our own car for the 1 - 1 1/2 hour trip.  Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for the first 10 children.  Pay cash (prefered) or check (Delaware Porsche Club) the night of the event.

This is limited to 40 people (first-come, first-serve) inlcuding the 10 children.

Wilmington & Western Railroad - Holiday Lights

Experience the magic of riding aboard our festively decorated, 100-year-old heated coaches, each of which is covered in thousands of holiday lights! Many of our trackside neighbors also decorate their homes and yards for our passengers to enjoy during this 1-hour evening trip through the Red Clay Valley.

NOTE: This excursion does not feature a visit from Santa Claus. Santa rides the train and visits with children only on the Santa Claus Express.

This event is powered by one of our historic first-generation diesel locomotives.

This is limited to Delaware PCA members, their significant other and the members' minor children. The private car only has 40 seats so that really only allows 15-20 couples/members depending on the number of children.  We completely understand wanting to attend with extended family however, the size limitation of the PCA rented car does not permit doing so without bumping members.  If you would like to experience this with extended family, but also want to see your PCA friends, the general admission car is available for the same date and time.  Tickets are available here:

You MAY be able to walk between the cars and visit with PCA members during the trip.  If registration is full, and you would like to join, consider purchasing general admission and stopping in the PCA car for a visit.
